It started with a shop teacher and a borrowed set of tools.
Javier never planned on building cabinets. He just turned out to be very good with his hands, and someone noticed.
It began in a high school shop class. His teacher told him he had a real gift for the work, and helped him get his first set of tools. That was all the push he needed. Javier started building custom furniture and doing carpentry, and people loved what he made.
One day a customer asked if he could build her kitchen cabinets. He told her honestly that he had never done cabinets before, but she trusted him. When they were finished, she loved them so much that her friend wanted a set too. Then another. That word of mouth is still how most people find J & M Cabinetry today.
Years later, every cabinet still starts the way his furniture did, built by hand in the shop, one piece at a time, with the same care that got him noticed in the first place.
